INDIA :THE POWER OF A COMMON MAN

India is one of the largest democratic nation in this world. It's basic principles are based on democracy. It is a country where people are the highest priority. It is a system of the people,by the people, for the people. The democracy makes the people a part of every decision directly or indirectly. The supreme power resides in the hands of the people.
The  people are given  the universal adult franchise through which they can take part in electing the representatives to state and central houses. The power,if executed properly unbiased and with a thought of upliftment, can be used to change the society.Instead of blaming on corruption and other problems, the people can get rid of these problems.
The recently held Delhi state elections stand as an example for this. The people there elected 28 AAP members to vidhansabha by passing a message that they are fed up with parties which are giving them no hope. Now,the parties are also worrying to maintain a clean image on them as the delhi voters are giving a priority to all the factors. The BJP with 33 members said it is not going to form a government as it has no strength and it does not have a intent to do so as it may pass a wrong message of horse-trading for power. If the people send a clear message about their requirements from the parties through their execution of franchise power, the parties would also try to imbibe the qualities the people expect from them.
But the Delhi scenario is different from other regions of the nation ain terms of mindset of the people, majority of which are educated middle-class people migrated from different places in India. They voted based on facts of corruption, development, inflation, standard of living etc.The people in various areas are still inclined to vote based on caste, religion and some are conventional voters to a party. Some are still hesitant to vote atleast. They have misapprehended this power and re unaware of their responsibility as a citizen.
Change cannot be imparted by one,it needs the participation of every citizen. There is need of awareness of what an execution of franchise can do to the nation,if they vote non-inclined towards caste, unbiased and develop a conscience of whom to select. This is again inter-related to various issues like education, empowerment of all sections of society, social justice. The eradication of caste-centric opinions in people is not so easy which takes time if all the measures are taken in this perspective as the people have to change. The change has to be initiated in the people by themselves by process of fair thought to transform this nation and to make it a better place.

Indian National Congress pays for its corruption and unbalanced economic policies in assembly elections

Finally, the time has come. The people fed up with high costs and growing corruption have made it clear that they choose only the one whose main agenda is development. The Congress have seen a huge setback in five general state assembly elections, losing power in Rajasthan and Delhi and giving least competition to BJP.It just maintained the competition on par with BJP in Chattisgarh.
Only mere welfare schemes can't do the trick. This have been made clear by the people in these elections. The people fed up with the existing rise in prices, unstable economy,no-vision rule of Congress have elected the parties which have developed the states and those which have given a hope that their lives can be changed.
Coming to Delhi elections result,AAP launched its debut with a enttralling victory in 26 constituencies, attaining the position of main opposition in Delhi.BJP had  won 32 seats making its way for forming the government.Congress has utterly failed in retaining its power in majority of constituencies, marking victory in just 8 seats.CM Sheela Dixit also have been the victim of growing opposition against Congress and has lost the election to AAP founder,Kejriwal,by a 20K+ difference in votes. The youth and the sophisticated voter class in Delhi have sought for an alternative to 16 year Congress rule, finding BJP and AAP.AAP was a major hope for people as it has its ways and views totally different fro m the conventional politics. The measures such as constituency-centric manifestos, transparent fund-raising and social network advertising gave them an advantage over other parties and to make people believe they it is really a common man's party.BJP's ácts such as nominating Dr. Harshavardhan as CM candidate, being the voice of people during Nirbaya incident seeking women protection, law and order maintenance, raising protests when the govt increased prices of power and crude oil products.
In Rajasthan,BJP have gained about 7/8th majority over congress which has seen an utter failure retaining only 21 seats. The result ,though expected, has stunned the Congress high command as a lot of welfare activities like free medicine, free medical treatment etc.The main setback was due to people upset with govt.Absence of development-ridden governance, differences in top-cadre and recently announced election-based-welfare schemes have had their toll on the Congress.BJP have greatly managed to target the anti-government votebank by campaigning in elections targeting the failures and scams of govt and using the charisma of Narendra Modi.
Unlike other states,Chattisgarh's result has maintained a suspense until evening with Congress and BJP gaining a considerable share each. The sympathy vote has been a great advantage to Congress in Basthar region while BJP has an advantage of Chaval Baba's schemes. The PDS guru have again gained the thrust of people, though the govt-opposition had gained Congress to win an almost equal share of vote.
Madhya Pradesh has been another strong fort for BJP.The development done by Shivraj Singh Chauhan has protected his govt as sreerama-raksha and various activities had won him the increased support gaining about 165 seats, contributing about 3/4th share of seats.Shivraj's charisma had gained BJP a sided advantage over Congress.
People have therefore used their democratic power of franchise to pass a message that their priority is vision-based-development and a good economical strategy.
